Description: The Supply Chain Management Department has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Purchasing Manager to work in our Baldwin Park office. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible developing, maintaining, and administering a supply chain of products that ensure an uninterrupted flow of products that is of the highest quality and the best price value available to support our store operations. This will be achieved by:
  • Managing the purchasing and vendor assurance activities to ensure appropriate levels of inventory and product is available to service the stores on a daily basis.
  • Manage all aspects of purchasing, including selecting and assessing of vendors.
  • Clearly define and maintain product specifications.
  • Maintain professional relationships with vendors.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage all contracts and pricing agreements for assigned categories while always maintaining a competitive landscape to enhance food quality and safety.
  • Train and lead Purchasing/Quality Assurance staff.
  • Monitor market fluctuations and track purchasing activity and measurements and provide information on products, pricing, market conditions, and supply chain threats and make recommendations to upper management.
  • Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop solutions according to company standards.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior purchasing responsibility, preferably in the restaurant industry, with specific knowledge and expertise purchasing fresh produce.
  • Experience overseeing a purchasing/quality assurance team preferred.
  • College degree in related field(s) preferred.
  • Proven prior experience with design, implementation, and administration of a vendor assurance program required.
  • A thorough understanding of basic accounting.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position normally works Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; however, department needs occasionally call for working some evenings and weekend days. Some overnight business travel will also be required.

   

 
 
Paralegal

Description: The Real Estate and Development Department currently has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Paralegal. This individual will work on multiple projects concurrently, in multiple geographic locations, all of which are in various stages of the development process. The primary responsibilities of this position are to:
  • Assist with all matters relating to commercial real estate; such as landlord and tenant issues, acquisitions and dispositions, contract interpretation/administration, diligence and other related matters.
  • Have the ability to draft and review real estate documents; such as lease amendments, license agreements, and closing documents.
  • Assist attorneys with real estate diligence, contract administration and closings, including review and coordination of title and survey, other due diligence, document preparation and closing activities.
  • Review contract provisions and provide interpretation and guidance to Asset Managers and Property Administrators.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • A bachelor’s level degree and a Paralegal certification from an ABA approved institution.
  • At least 5 years experience in commercial real estate.
  • Experience in restaurant or shopping center development a plus.
  • Proven experience creating, negotiating, and administering ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, CC&R’s, sign agreements and related operating agreements, and addressing entitlement and permit matters.
  • Ability to adapt to change and prioritize work load amid changing business objectives and time pressures.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Work both autonomously and in a team-oriented atmosphere.

This position may require occasional overnight travel and weekend or after hours work.

   

 
 
Journeyman Electrician

Description: In-N-Out Burger has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Journeyman Electrician. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for:
  • The installation of electrical wiring, low voltage wiring, computers, phone systems, speaker systems, wireless equipment, and alarm systems for remodels, new stores, and other company facilities.
  • Observing all safety guidelines and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area.
  • Accessing roof equipment and working in constricted work areas such as attics, parapet areas, etc. which will require this person to be able to move freely in and around obstacles common in the stores and at construction sites.
  • Performing all duties with pride and craftmanship and work well in an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation.
Qualified candidates must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in the Electrical field and carry a valid Journeyman’s card.
  • Understanding of the construction environment; including the ability to read blueprints and NEC codes a plus.
  • A valid California Driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Proven track record of being dependable and a self starter.
Schedule: Nights, weekends, and travel required. On call duties are also required for emergencies and must carry a cell phone at all times.
