Travel and Meeting Planner Assistant (Temporary)

Description: The Travel and Events Department currently has an excellent opportunity for a Full-time Temporary Travel and Meeting Planner Assistant to work in the Travel & Events Department in our Irvine Office. This individual will be responsible for assisting the Travel and Meeting Planners. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with air, hotel, and car rentals for all company travel.
  • Research and locate the best airfares using an on-line Central Reservation System.
  • Assist with outside meetings as requested by other departments and the Director of Travel & Events.
  • Assist the Director and Supervisor of Travel & Events with duties related to the preparation, reservations, and operation of incentive trips and special events when needed.
  • Coordinate transportation for company events.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • 3+ years of travel agency experience using the Sabre system or be familiar with industry standard Central Reservation Systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office software, including Word and Excel. Access and Desktop Publishing experience a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills required.
  • Ability to be flexible, organized, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

This position normally works Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; however, department needs occasionally call for working some evenings and weekend days. Some travel required.

   

 
 
Absence Management Specialist

Description: In-N-Out Burger has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Absence Management Specialist to work in the Human Resources Department. The Absence Management Specialist will be responsible for a variety of leave of absences activities, which include:
  • Leave of Absence administration, including coordination of leaves under the Federal Family Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), applicable state leave laws and company leave policies.
  • Daily tracking, organizing and coordination of leaves, notifying associates of their leave eligibility and rights, processing requests, coordinating health benefit status and payments, coordinating associates’ return to work and responding to accommodation requests, generating related leave reports and responding to any other related questions or complaints about leaves.
  • Assure compliance and proper documentation with respect to all laws, regulations and plans, including HIPPA, FMLA, USERRA, and all applicable state leave acts and company leave programs.
  • Partner with managers and supervisors in the administration of leaves, train and update on current and ongoing changes or modifications to federal and state guidelines, and serve as an advisor and mentor to other HR associates and Benefits Administration team.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • A minimum 3-5 years of previous experience in leave of absence administration, preferably with a Third Party Administrator and/or insurance administration experience.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA and related revisions, state mandated leaves, HIPPA, USERRA, and other leave of absence related legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent human relations skills, including the ability to work effectively with people over the phone.
  • Computer literacy with comprehensive spreadsheet and word processing skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

This position normally works Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
